I Synched, Office, Home and Road with one Livedrive account!
I now have access to my entire record collection, thousands of photos, videos spanning from my childhood to this year’s vacation, and even a document I started writing last week about a new business idea.
Through LiveDrive’s digital storage cloud, I can now continue writing that document from any coffee shop, living room, office or airport. All I need is an Internet connection and more ideas to write. I often stream the music I’m in the mood for when I write directly from my own music collection in the sky. Well, by sky I mean I connect and stream or download music via a wireless connection to one of my mobile devices such as my Android mobile phone, iPod, iPad, iPhone 4, or my laptop. I also connect my PC and Macbook Pro via my Android phone but that’s for another post.
Whether I was cruising across town from my office to my home, or even from the East to West Coast, if I wanted to effortlessly pick up where I had left off, I was forced to transfer files to a storage device in order to keep working. Thankfully, this problem has been easily remedied by LiveDrive.
While this may seem like the pinnacle of geekdom, I have drawn a diagram of my constant connection to my digital media at home, at the office, and on the road. I may be exposing my not-so-dormant inner nerd, but I think eventually most digital media mavens will get to this place, too.
My home network wired connection points are five PC desktops. One PC has several USB drives connected to it for data storage, mapped across the network. The wireless connection points are four PC laptops, a MacBook Pro, an iPod, an iPad, two Androids, and an iPhone 4. All of my desktops and laptops have LiveDrive installed and are connected to the same unlimited backup account I got from Elephant Backup. My Mac backup files have their own folder in my LiveDrive account, so each has a separate set of files. I have a similar setup at the office, but the key thing is that all the computers I want to backup, sync, and have access to are logged in and backing up to the same LiveDrive account.
Needless to say, I am pretty connected from everywhere—and this scenario is all possible thanks to the unlimited backup account I got from Elephant Backup, who is hands-down the best LiveDrive seller I have encountered. Believe me, from one uber-geek to another, Elephant Backup rocks.
